While holding the fishing rod and facing the body of water, left click and the lure will be thrown. Holding down the button will throw the lure further away from you. Once the fish has taken the bait, left click (it will nibble it most of the time, but then an audible and visible plop! will sound) and wait for it to stop splashing both visually and audibly. As soon as it stops, left click to reel it in. Stop once it starts splashing again. Repeat until you’ve caught it. The bar on the right side of the screen is the meter that shows how soon the fish will break away. Once it reaches the bottom, it will let go of the lure and swim away. It will not despawn.
