During Early Access, Moonbreaker has 3 game modes we can definitely enjoy. The 3 game modes are Player Vs. Player, Player Vs. AI, and Cargo Run

In Player Vs. Player mode, we can match publicly with online players by selecting the “Public” match button as well as create a “Private” match to play against a friend. Playing in a “Private” match will provide XPs for both players.

Here are the steps to play PVP matches:

  1. On Moonbreaker’s main screen, click the “Play” button.
  2. Select the “Vs. Player” mode.
  3. Select the Roster you want to use in the match.
  4. Select the “Public” or “Private” match. For a Private match, you need to share the room code with a friend to create a private room.Game_modes_1.jpgBy selecting the “Private” match button, there will be a set of randomized letters which you can share with a friend to be copied and pasted on their room code. Once both players have the same room code, both players are ready to play in the match.
  5. After selecting the type of match, all you have to do is click the “Play” button.

To practice your newly created roster or to try new strategies, we recommend playing the Player Vs. AI mode. You can earn XP by playing the mode and an Additional XP is granted once you defeat the AI.

Here are the steps to play Player Vs. AI matches:

  1. On Moonbreaker's main screen, click the “Play” button.
  2. Select the “Vs. AI” mode.
  3. Select the Roster you would like to use.
  4. Click the “Play” Button.

If you are looking for a more challenging mode, we recommend playing the Cargo Run mode. This is the third game mode that shows a roguelike game experience. There will be five stages to complete where you will be facing five different bosses of increasing difficulty. There are cargo boxes that will randomly drop within the map which contain bonuses.

Here are the steps to play Cargo Run mode:

  1. On Moonbreaker's main screen, click the “Play” button.
  2. Select the “Cargo Run” mode.
  3. Select from the 3 available Captain and Roster.
  4. Click the “Play” Button to start your run.
